Counselling and Psychotherapy Services

Counselling and Psychotherapy is a safe place to explore your experiences and develop your own strategies to face your challenges head on. Counselling and Psychotherapy are both talking therapies.

At Wattleseed Centre WA we provide Counselling and Psychotherapy support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families who recognise their experience of challenge as an opportunity to develop a stronger sense of self and confidence to live life to the full.

The Difference Between Counselling And Psychotherapy

In order to hear our worries and understand our strengths,  talking to a qualified Psychotherapist can help.

Counselling is short to medium term support often exploring your current experience.  The service typically goes for 1 to 20 sessions

Psychotherapy is a medium to long term support exploring how previous experiences are limiting and directing your current and future choices. The length of service can be from 20 sessions onwards.

The Difference Between Art As Therapy and Art Psychotherapy

Image making on its own can be very therapeutic. It can be part of our mindful practice, helping us manage our level of stress and stay in the moment. This is art as therapy.

Art Psychotherapy is the use of image making to externalise our experience in order to gain a greater understanding of our worries, hopes and triggers as well as our strength and ability to respond to the challenge. Art Psychotherapy is guided and supported by a Masters qualified Art Psychotherapist and is suitable for people of all ages. The service can be short, medium or long term.
